The Liposuction Procedure in Naples
Liposuction is an outpatient procedure that takes several hours. Anesthesia is used to prevent you from feeling any pain. Liposuction can be performed on the following areas of your body:

Dr. Prysi begins by making a small incision in the treatment area. He inserts a thin, hollow tube called a cannula through the incisions and moves it back and forth, breaking up the fatty tissue. Then, using suction, he aspirates the fat cells. The incisions are closed with sutures. You may be advised to wear a compression garment to help “shrink” the skin after surgery and help it to hug your new curves. Liposuction is often performed on its own, but may also be part of other procedures such as mommy makeover or tummy tuck. Newer and more advanced forms of liposuction include the use of ultrasonic energy and tumescent liquid. Tumescent ultrasonic liposuction is advantageous for several reasons; first, the ultrasonic energy produces a skin tightening effect. Also, the tumescent liquid prevents significant blood loss, allowing Dr. Prysi more complete correction. Recovering from Liposuction
You will have some soreness, swelling and bruising after liposuction surgery, but this will disappear with time. Dr. Prysi will prescribe an oral pain medication if you are in discomfort. It’s best to rest as much as possible in the days following your surgery, and avoid any bending, lifting or straining. Dr. Prysi will meet with you several times to check your healing, and he will clear you to return to work, exercise and your normal everyday routine.
