Lip enhancement adds volume and fullness to naturally thin lips. Whether you’re looking for a dramatic change or a subtle, natural-looking enhancement, Dr. Prysi can help you reach your goals. There are a couple of ways that plastic surgeons can plump up your lips, including lip implants and dermal fillers. He prefers using Juvéderm® lip fillers for temporary lip augmentation. This type of lip filler can make the lips look fuller and reduce the appearance of vertical lip lines (smoker’s lines). He also offers SurgiSil lip implants for permanent lip augmentation procedures.
Dr. Mark Prysi is pleased to offer lip enhancement to his patients in Naples and throughout all of Southwest Florida. If you’re considering augmenting your lips, Dr. Prysi encourages you to schedule a consultation with him to discuss your options. With many years of extensive experience, Dr. Prysi is well-known throughout South Florida for producing natural and beautiful lip enhancement and facial rejuvenation results.

Dr. Prysi prefers to use SurgiSil synthetic lip implants for permanent lip enhancement instead of injectable fillers. SurgiSil implants are an FDA-approved option that is easy to place and normally well-tolerated. During the surgical lip augmentation procedure, Dr. Prysi administers a local anesthetic and then places lip implants through tiny incisions at the corners of your lips. This location allows for minor scarring to be hidden within the natural contours of your lips. He makes a pocket for the implant in your lip tissue and threads the implant through the incision. Lip implantation can be done on both the upper and lower lip.
The implants offer natural consistency and feel very similar to normal lip tissue after they have healed. Lip implants come in several different sizes; Dr. Prysi can help you select the best size for your lips during your consultation. There is little downtime necessary with the lip enhancement procedure; you will likely be able to return to your normal everyday routine after treatment. In addition, SurgiSil implants are made specifically for lips. Other implants could cause “tissue-in-growth” and actually scar the implant giving it a tethered, unnatural look.
Although SurgiSil is a permanent alternative to continuous and costly filler injections, implant removal can be performed if desired. It is made of soft, solid silicone that cannot rupture or deflate, offering a naturally contoured appearance. SurgiSil stands out from other injectables and implants because it is made up of material suited for use in facial tissues. SurgiSil strives to overcome the complications that other injectables and solid implants bring about.
